Digitale challenge

Digitalisation is finding more complex solutions to new problems, and this also applies to the vehicle market. Suppliers must expand their expertise and learn to deal with smart solutions and actively embed them in their companies. This is not only about the vehicles, but above all about digitalised supply chains, resourcing through blockchain and other efficiency-enhancing support systems to improve production and internal information flows.

For a successful implementation of digital systems, HSP Consult helps you to find the right system for the right benefit. This means that you are always up to date in the area of digitalisation and well positioned in the long term.

The greatest challenges for automotive suppliers lie in digital solutions and drive types. Only by paying attention to both topics is a promising strategy possible.

The four drive technologies

  • Petrol and diesel

The combustion engine is currently still the most manufactured and sold drive system and this will not change in the coming years due to the disadvantages of the other drive systems. This means that the combustion engine still offers great opportunities for automotive suppliers to create great value through further innovations in efficiency and performance as well as hybrid drives.

  • Electric

The trend of the last few years is still growing strongly. In the medium term, the focus must be on this type of drive in order to survive in the market. This will require new technologies and innovations and changes in working methods due to various regulations.

  • Hydrogen

Due to the large expenditures required for the production of electric batteries, hydrogen is often referred to as the drive of the future. An early start on the development of important fuel cell components can put your company in a positive position.

  • E-Fuels

E-fuels are synthetic fuels that can be produced by CO2 and electrical energy. They are easy to use with a few modifications to the classic combustion engine. So far, the production of these e-fuels requires too much energy to be considered today, but in the future this fuel could come into use.
